After another epic weekend in the Canadian Premier League, the Newsroom team returned on Monday for another recap of all the goings-on around the league.
KJ and Charlie kick us off from York Lions Stadium, where Atlético Ottawa produced a massive 3-0 away victory over a frustrated York United (2:09). Then, Benedict Rhodes joins the show to recap a 1-1 draw between HFX Wanderers FC and FC Edmonton from Halifax (18:20), shortly before the boys are also joined by special guest Mateo Restrepo, who played his final game for the Wanderers on Saturday before he heads off to medical school (25:50).
From there, it's back to Ontario for a discussion around Forge FC's 3-1 win over Valour FC on Saturday, with the help of Mitchell Tierney (38:12), as well as Pacific FC's big win over Cavalry FC on Friday night (49:00).
Finally, the crew looks ahead to Tuesday night, when Pacific will be in Jamaica to begin their Concacaf League journey against Waterhouse FC, as we hear from players as well as James Merriman on what it'll mean to them as a club (57:25).

The Newsroom team is back for a rare Wednesday afternoon show, with four more Canadian Premier League matches to discuss from the past week.
With Kristian away, Mitchell Tierney and Charlie O'Connor-Clarke host this episode, starting in Hamilton where Forge FC exploded for a club-record 5-1 win over FC Edmonton on Tuesday night (6:55). Then, it's off to Calgary to recap a surprising win for York United at Cavalry FC to end a lengthy streak for both sides (15:45).
Mitchell and Charlie then return to Ontario for a full breakdown of York's 4-2 loss to Pacific FC on Friday night (24:10), before heading back to Spruce Meadows for Mitchell's thoughts on Cavalry's 3-0 win over HFX Wanderers last Thursday (36:10).
Finally, Benedict Rhodes joins the show to wrap things up, beginning with a quick preview of Wednesday night's rescheduled Atlético Ottawa versus Valour FC contest (43:40). The show ends with a recap of the Canadian women's national team's run in the Concacaf W Championship, which ended Monday night with a 1-0 loss in the final to the United States (52:00).

Kristian Jack and Charlie O'Connor-Clarke begin in Winnipeg, where Valour FC beat HFX Wanderers FC even in spite of William Akio's viral first-half miss (2:34). After that, Alexandre Gangué-Ruzic hops on the show to chat about a top-of-the-table chess match between Atlético Ottawa and Cavalry FC (13:45), and then Mitchell Tierney arrives to discuss Forge's 905 Derby triumph and contemplate what's going wrong with York United (23:30).

Kristian Jack and Charlie O'Connor-Clarke begin at Tim Hortons Field, where Forge FC lost to both Valour and Atlético Ottawa in a pair of 1-0 results. They first break down Valour's win on Wednesday, which spoiled the party as Kyle Bekker celebrated his 100th game for Forge (3:03) before moving on to Atleti's big -- and controversial -- triumph on Sunday (8:35).
Atlético Ottawa CEO Fernando López then joins the show as its special guest to discuss the bright start to 2022 for his club, as well as the progress they've made since 2020 (16:10), before KJ and Charlie are joined by Mitchell Tierney to recount Ottawa's first win of the week from last Thursday at HFX Wanderers (29:05). The trio then move on to Clarke Stadium, where they recap a massive win for FC Edmonton over York United on Canada Day (33:20).
Finally, Alexandre Gangué-Ruzic drops by to help relive a fascinating heavyweight bout between Pacific FC and Cavalry FC on Thursday night in Langford (48:18), before giving his thoughts on the Canadian women's national team as they prepare for the Concacaf W Championship beginning this week in Mexico (58:54).

They begin out west at Starlight Stadium, as Benedict Rhodes comes on the show to discuss a club-record 3-0 away victory for HFX Wanderers FC over Pacific FC (4:05). From there, it's onto another big win on the road -- this time for Valour FC, who beat York United 3-1 on Sunday. Mitchell Tierney is on first to recap what he saw from York Lions Stadium (20:41), and then Valour head coach Phil Dos Santos dials in live after training to chat about a big result for his team (30:43).
Alexandre Gangué-Ruzic joins next to chat Cavalry FC's 3-1 win over FC Edmonton (43:14), and he also provides his thoughts on a disappointing exit for the Canadians at the Concacaf Men's U-20 Championship on Sunday against Guatemala (51:32). Finally, Benedict returns to recap his experience at BMO Field on Sunday, as the Canadian women's national team drew 0-0 with South Korea in their final contest before the Concacaf W Championship.
