With just one matchweek left in the CPL's regular season, the Newsroom crew is back to break down the penultimate weekend that saw plenty of interesting storylines, from Halifax Wanderers' home win to York United's table-turning triumph over Atlético Ottawa.

After a brief hiatus, the CPL Newsroom presented by Volkswagen is back! And we have to start by congratulating Cavalry FC on officially becoming 2023 regular season champions. Kristian Jack is joined by Charlie O'Connor-Clarke, Mitchell Tierney, Alexandre Gangué-Ruzic and Benedict Rhodes as they recap Week 24 in the CPL, including Cavalry's triumph, Forge's big win over Pacific, Vancouver's comeback triumph against Halifax and Valour's late winner at Atlético Ottawa.

Plus, KJ is joined by newly-crowned title-winning head coach of Cavalry, Tommy Wheeldon Jr., for a chat about what's made his team special this year.

The Labour Day long weekend was a fun one in the Canadian Premier League, and the CPL Newsroom pres. by Volkswagen is back on a Tuesday to recap all four games from week 21.
